Cabin In The Woods (2012) Preview

Story: Five friends go to a remote cabin in the woods for a weekend of fun, but things take a turn for the worse when creatures are set out to hunt them down for what looks like government experiment or television show.

First Thoughts: When you first see the trailer all you think is Evil Dead meets The Cube. The poster adds to the mystery. Having two top writers in Joss Whedon who gave us Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Firefly and will be directing the new Avengers movie and Drew Goddard who has writing credits of Cloverfield, Lost, Angel. Which should give this movie some very good pedigree in the mystery horror genre.

Chris Hemsworth steps out after Thor in which could be a huge year for him not only having this film he also The Avengers, Red Dawn and Snow White and the Huntsman so this one could almost get swept away with these Blockbusters out. Having a very strong supporting cast this could be one of the horror movies of the year.
