Actor Focus - John Leguizamo

This week with Ice Age 4 The Continental Drift I pick the voice of Sid John Leguizamo one of my favourite all time actors.

Having 91 acting credits to his name on the IMDB he is hardly a house hold name, but you will always recognise him when you see him in a film. One of the stars of the first video game adaptation Super Mario Bros he plays Luigi to Bob Hoskins Mario. Both actors regret this film especially John who turned down Philadelphia to star in the film. 

One of his most famous roles was in Baz Luhrmann's Romeo and Juliet where he plays Tybalt. He has played supporting roles to Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Leonardo Dicaprio.

John is versatile enough to play both hero and villain and is willing to play small roles with minimal scene time. One stand out performance for me comes from his Television series Kill Point Where he plays an ex soldier who holds up a bank and takes hostages to get his unit the military pensions bank.
